2009 Books

Following the example of my spouse, I'll try to keep track here of the books I read (or re-read) this year.

Yesterday, I finished When You Are Engulfed in Flames by David Sedaris. Like his other hilarious books, this is a collection of essays that draw on Mr. Sedaris's unbelievably funny interactions with the world. This one ends with a long essay about how he quit smoking by moving for three months to Tokyo.

Cool! On my blog I review only some books I read (basically if I haven't reviewed it it means I haven't hated it or loved it enough). I also keep a list of the books I'm currently reading in case other people want to check them out. You have 3 kids????

If you have time, this Sedaris book is really funny.
Yep, three kids. You have twins, no?

Sara and I saw him in Lexington on the tour for this book. If you haven't seen it (can't remember if it's in this book) you should google his essay on undecided voters in the New Yorker.
